<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hi everyone,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Strangely I've only just delved into the Faxlist
although I've been collecting all Fax CDs since 1993. Seems appropriate now I'm
a "completist" that I should climb aboard. I have a few questions I'd like to
post - here goes:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Recently picked up a handfull of remixes by Pete
Namlook on German CD singles from 1992/3 for artists Glashaus, Sabrina Settler
and Xavier Naidoo (who all seem related). Anyone know anything about these or
other off-label remixes by Herr Namlook? I can't say they are anything special -
somewhat commercial and unexciting. Perhaps this is a topic deep in the vast
archive?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Anyone seen Pete live? I was lucky enough to catch
him at Wembly some years ago (Namlook V). I loved this undersubscribed
gig.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>On the completist front I've skipped a couple of
CDs thinking they are simply a repitition of previously released tracks.I
understand Evolution fo the Dark Side of the Moog is simply excerpts unmixed and
was never a PK release - is that right? Is "The Four Seasons" just
excerpts too or a mix? </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>On the subject of Fax promos I picked up the
Siddhartha Silence CD as I love Hermann Hesse and couldn't resist the sleeve
art. What are the other Fax promos and how do they differ (artwork/
tracklisting/ product code) from standard fax releases?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Although like everyone else I prefer I well
manufactured Fax CD to some low compression high priced CDR itunes thing, the
chance to pick up all the vinyl in one fell swop is great. I've cross referenced
the CDs with the 12"s on 2350.org and there seem to be around ten tracks
that didn't make it? Slightly peved you dont get inlay artwork with these
downloads and have to knock your own up in photoshop. Haven't seen much
discussion of these new re-releases beyond having to get them on itunes. Anyone
else picked them up?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Enjoyed listening to ooHZ online - Nice to hear
tracks you dont always pick and you don't have to get a CD out! Keep up the good
work.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Cheers</FONT></DIV>
