(fax) simply amazing - radio fax

So I'm at a friend's place last night. They have digital cable (well, so
do I, but I rarely use it), and the digital cable has a digital music
station called "Galaxie Ambient" (a Canadian thing I'm sure). I flip it
on and immediately I go, "hey, this is FAX!". Two seconds later I realize
it's From Within 3 (one of the really good parts). Sure enough, when the
title pops up it says Namlook/Hawtin Silent Intelligence.

Now you have to understand that Galaxie usually plays nothing more obscure
than Moby and DJ Food. OK, maybe the occasional Autechre or Boards -- the
"superstars". Never seen them do FAX though!

But then I realized that Canadian channels all have these stupid
Canadian-content laws that force them to pay X percentage of Canadian
stuff -- and guess where Hawtin is from...

Anyhow, I thought this was a strange enough occurrence I had to write
about it. My friend couldn't believe it either, I'm always blabbing on
about FAX. Airtime gives my ranting a little bit of legitimacy, perhaps.
