It's not that Outland sucks major donkey balls; it's just that it has
such stiff competition.  For a series with 4 outings, it's a bit of a
disappointment.  Almost every other series has stuff that just jumps out
at me, and grows on me.  Outland hasn't done it yet.  And I can't just
blame Laswell, because I really love the Psychonav series.

I'll give 1 & 2 another go, as so far those seem to be best
recommendations, but I'm not holding my breath!  But if some FAX stuff
takes time (a few years) and that "special moment", perhaps when I'm 80
and on my death bed I'll spin Outland 2 and finally go "ah! now I get
it! <croak>".  Maybe.
