(fax) on the topic of actual music...

Recently I picked up a couple of discs that may appeal to faxheads.

Gaudi + Testa 1105 em:t. Bought this on the strength of Re:sonate. It's
quite good. Fairly dark and forboding. Some good dub grooves and
ambient bits. Very em:t atmospheric. Fave track: Deimos with the
ethereal voices and echoic tubular bells. Never heard anything by Testa
before, so I can't comment there.

Cyper 7 - Nothing Lasts & Security. Very impressed by these releases on
Subharmonic. Not much on Subharmonic does it for me, so that's saying
something. Very drifting, wandering ambient; sometimes with beats. Very
mellow and repetitive, but it all works out really well. Great working
or reading music. A definite keeper for me. Try to find the Nothing
Lasts 2CD as it is mostly a superset of the 1CD Security (which I have
for sale if anyone is interested). For Laswell lovers & haters, Laswell
does a bass bit for about 30 secs on one song (which I find pretty
funky). Not sure if he has a further hand in the production/etc.
