The joke is on the two of you ..Just because you
have only two ears you still have lots of space
around your head.  5.1 Headphones already exist. 
Headphones that is, not earbuds.  I have seen a
pair that looks like a hat.  Go ahead and do a
quick internet search for 5.1 headphones and you
will find many with wires dangling.
