Recommended Soundcards (was: Re: (fax) DTS, 2 CDs, and pricing)

Well, that's exactly what he did, but he tossed them together =P
I see it as the perfect reason for me to spend some money and get
surround sound out of this computer.

Does anyone know of a good soundcard, *other than the X-Fi series*, that
works well in Linux, and supports digital out? I'm not entirely sure if
my current plain-old Audigy can do it... but it's the best supported
soundcard in linux apparently. X-Fi's aren't supported at all -- yet.
