I believe it's actually a guitar. It sounds quite a bit like the guitars
used in Blue Man Group's "Audio" album.
Hmm.... Spyra and Blue Man Group... now there's an idea...
Overall I think this release is not as good as say, Invisible Fields or
Etherlands, but it's still very good imho. It took me until the 3rd
listen, when I was in the right mood, to completely 'get' the music.
It's really quite genius in some areas, and not so much in others. I
think the voices in XyloCity III could have been done without; and I
*really* wish he kept the first "part" of Aerial going longer, that's
the kind of stuff I like from Spyra. But I still do love how he changes
time signatures so much. It adds a unique spin to the music, and it
really gets your foot tapping.
