(fax) market forces and FAX

Continuing with this discussion of how-you-found-fax:
I got my first taste of FAX when I was 15, on Groove Salad. That was
about 3 years ago now. I didn't know it was FAX at the time of course.
But then I was reading some reviews about headphones and one of them
mentioned DSotM (here's the link: http://www.dansdata.com/ur20.htm ,
scroll down to the Listening section, and you'll notice a link "the very
definite _other_" -- I rember someone, was it Trevor?, asking for the
link last time I mentioned this headphone review). And I wanted to
listen to what they did in the review ...

That's when I went out and downloaded some things .. that was before
DSotM X was out, and mind you, it wasn't easy to find DSotM stuff for
download online. I kind of lost interest. Then one day I was pawing
through my music folder .. and decided to give what I had a listen
again. And I saw it from a completely different angle, it all was so
much nicer than I originally remembered it. So that got me interested
again and I then noticed there was an X out. That's when I decided I
wanted the whole series on CD. I bought what I could of the AW
re-releases from EAR about 3 weeks before I turned 18. Then is when I
realized this Pete guy had his own label and there was more music
similar to DSotM. It kind of took off from there. So that's to show that
there are other ways to get audiences too =)

About anyone I know in my age range that likes non-mainstream
electronica; there are only a few that I have shown the music to myself
=)
Dad likes some of it too -- Virtual Vices IV and basically anything with
Pete's jazzy guitar in it.
