Yes, it's Ventura Highway.  That's why I posed the question (rejected
here) whether Pete sampled it or simply played it himself.

I agree that he raises it to a wholly superior level of enjoyment.  I
love that tune on Adlernebel!!

Speaking of samples, I was in an office today and the muzak PA system
was playing tunes and they played some song they said was America
(something Highway something?) and it was indeed the exact guitar riff
from Adlernebel. So it looks like PK does take others' samples, albeit
short ones, and make it a central part of tracks.  (I like Pete's use of
the riff more than America's!)
