When I was watching Star Wars last week the scene in the opera also
reminded me of "Outland" but I am quite sure that Lucas did not
sample Bill & Pete.
The scene is very cool and those mongolian voices fit perfectly to an
strange alien performance at the opera. The track is called
"Palpatines' teachings" and is track no. 6 on the original motion
picture soundtrack of "Star Wars - Episode 3". In the booklet the
track is credited to John Williams.
So all you guys watch Star Wars witch a little FAX influence... ;-)
